Rising Star of the Month: Michael Doney

The Arc Mercer is proud to recognize Michael Doney as this month’s Rising Star, honoring his dedication, growth, and commitment to success at the OTC program.

Michael consistently arrives each day ready to learn, bringing focus, determination, and a strong work ethic to everything he does. His attentiveness and drive to master janitorial skills have set him apart, as he continues to build the knowledge and confidence needed to reach his goals. 

Whether taking on new assignments or refining existing skills, Michael approaches each task with care, patience, and a clear commitment to improvement.

Staff have noted Michael’s respectful attitude and positive presence, as well as his willingness to go above and beyond to demonstrate what he has learned. His ability to carefully follow each step of a task and apply new skills shows that he is not only learning, but actively preparing for community employment.

Nominated by Robert Mattson, Employment Specialist at OTC, Michael is recognized as a hardworking individual who makes it his goal every day to grow, improve, and succeed.

As one of twelve Rising Stars of the Month, Michael is now eligible to be named Rising Star of the Year, an exciting milestone that reflects his continued progress and potential.

As part of this recognition, Michael will receive a signed and framed certificate from the Executive Director’s office, a congratulatory balloon, and a $100 gift card.
