At Arc Mercer, we value your dedication and understand the importance of rest, wellness, and personal time. To ensure everyone is clear on our updated 2026 policies, we’ve summarized the key details regarding your pay and time-off benefits below.

Your Time Off: What’s in Your Bank?

We offer several types of paid leave to support your life outside of work. Here is a quick breakdown:

  • Vacation: Earned annually based on your hire date. Is awarded quarterly. After one year, you can even “Buy Out" (cash out) a portion of your unused time during your anniversary month.

  • Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST): Accrues at 1 hour for every 20 hours worked for most employees. It can be used for your own health, a family member’s care, or safety needs related to domestic violence.

  • Floating Holidays: Eligible full-time employees receive four (4) paid days at the start of the year to use for personal or religious reasons.

  • 2025 Vacation Carryover: This bank is dedicated to vacation time accrued between your anniversary date of 2025 to December 31st, 2025. On 1/1/2026, that accrued time was dropped into your carryover bank. Use this time first, only 5 days from this bank can be carried over into 2027!

Holiday & Overtime Pay Highlights

How you are paid depends on your role and whether you work during a holiday:

  • Working on a Holiday: Non-exempt (hourly) employees who work a fixed holiday receive double time (2x) for those hours.

  • Exempt Employees: If you work a holiday, you will receive Comp Time to use later in the year.

  • Overtime: Overtime (1.5x) is paid for authorized work over 40 hours per week. Note: Jury duty, bereavement, and holiday pay (not worked) count toward your 40-hour overtime threshold.

Key Rules to Remember

  • The 14-Day Rule: Request vacation or floating holidays through Paycom at least 14 days in advance.

  • Probationary Period: During your first 90 days, you accrue vacation and sick time, but you cannot use it until after your 91st day.

  • Sick Leave Notice: If your need for sick leave is foreseeable, please provide 7 days' notice. If it's an emergency, notify your manager as soon as possible.

  • Clocking In: Accuracy is vital! We use a 15-minute rounding method (7.5-minute split) for all hourly punches.
