At The Arc Mercer, innovation is not just about creating new programs or ideas, it’s about continuously improving the way we support one another, serve our consumers, and strengthen our workplace culture. That commitment to growth and accountability is what led to the creation of the new Program Integrity Committee (PIC).
The Program Integrity Committee was developed to help ensure that The Arc Mercer continues to operate with fairness, trust, and transparency across every department and program. The committee brings together leadership, staff representatives, and frontline voices to identify challenges early, improve communication, and help strengthen systems before small concerns become larger issues.
At its core, the PIC is designed to support employees. It creates a structured and confidential pathway for staff to raise concerns, share observations, and help improve workplace practices in a positive and productive way. The committee will also focus on promoting ethical decision-making, reviewing policies and procedures, and helping staff navigate difficult situations with confidence and clarity.
One of the most innovative parts of the PIC is the inclusion of Program Integrity Liaisons , frontline representatives who help serve as trusted connections between staff and the committee. Their role is to help identify trends, share best practices, and ensure frontline perspectives remain part of the conversation as the organization grows and evolves.
The committee will also focus heavily on education and prevention, helping employees better understand expectations, workplace standards, and the resources available to support them. By addressing concerns proactively and encouraging open communication, the PIC helps build a stronger culture across the agency.
The launch of the Program Integrity Committee reflects The Arc Mercer’s continued investment in innovation, accountability, and employee support. By creating systems that encourage collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, the agency continues to move forward in ways that strengthen both our workforce and the services we provide every day.
