The Arc Mercer is thrilled to announce an exciting new addition to our Campus Day Program: a dedicated library for our consumers.
This initiative aims to create a welcoming space where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can immerse themselves in learning, exploration, and personal enrichment. The library will offer a diverse selection of books to support both academic and recreational interests, promoting the joy of reading and lifelong learning within our community.
The Impact of the Library
For the individuals we serve, access to books offers more than just reading material; it provides a pathway to self-expression, cognitive development, and personal growth. Whether participants are looking to dive into a captivating story, explore new topics, or engage with materials that support their vocational and life skills, the library will serve as a valuable resource tailored to their needs. By fostering a love of reading, the library will help build confidence, creativity, and curiosity within a supportive and enriching environment.
How You Can Help
To bring this vision to life, we are seeking donations of gently used books from our broader community.
If you have any books that you’ve finished reading or are willing to part with, we would be incredibly grateful if you could donate them to our new library. All genres and reading levels are welcome, as we aim to provide a wide range of materials to inspire and engage our participants.
Where to Donate
Donating is simple! You can drop off your books at either of the following locations:
Senior Day Program: 180 Ewingville Rd, Ewing, NJ
Campus Day Program: 1070 Old Trenton Rd, Hamilton, NJ
If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out to krhead@arcmercer.org.
Every contribution helps us build a brighter future for our community.
Thank you for helping us create a space where our participants can thrive through the magic of reading!
