Rising Stars of the Month: Celebrating Consumer Growth and Achievement

The Rising Star of the Month Award recognizes consumers served by the Arc Mercer who are making meaningful strides toward their personal goals. This award highlights progress in areas such as skill development, confidence, independence, teamwork, and perseverance, celebrating each individual’s journey and the effort it takes to move forward.

October Rising Star of the Month: Corey Migdal

Corey Migdal was nominated by Andrea Resko of the Arc Mercer Healthcare Center, who recognized the significant progress Corey has made during his time with the Arc Mercer. His nomination highlighted the growth he has shown in understanding expectations, engaging in his environment, and committing to his own development.

Corey’s positive attitude and consistent smile have made a noticeable impact, contributing to a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere for both peers and staff. His recognition reflects not only his individual achievements, but also the importance of patience, encouragement, and ongoing support as consumers work toward greater independence and confidence.

November Rising Star of the Month: Ashley Bryant

Ashley Bryant was nominated by the janitorial department’s Pooran Rambaran, who shared a deeply personal reflection on Ashley’s journey. The nomination acknowledged the challenges Ashley has faced while emphasizing her strength, coachability, and determination to grow.

“Her journey is a powerful reminder of why the work we do is so important. She embodies the mission of empowerment, inclusion, and opportunity.”

Ashley was also recognized for the role her dedication played in supporting another consumer during their onboarding experience. Her willingness to help, lead by example, and contribute positively to the team demonstrates growth that extends beyond individual goals and into shared success.

Rising Stars receive a $100 gift card, agency recognition, and eligibility for Rising Star of the Year, celebrating progress, perseverance, and the possibilities ahead.
