Rising Stars: Anthony & John Brooks

Brothers Making a Lasting First Impression Arc Mercer proudly honored Anthony and John Brooks as the Rising Stars of the Month for August. These brothers, who both work on Arc Mercer’s janitorial team in Hamilton Township, represent dedication, teamwork, and professionalism.

Anthony began his journey with Arc Mercer in 2021, and his younger brother John followed in 2022. Together, they have become a reliable duo under the leadership of Senior Site Supervisor Jaiwanti Bharath. Working five nights a week, the Brooks brothers clean critical township facilities including the Hamilton Municipal Complex, Health Clinic, Public Works, Veterans Parks, Call/Training Center, Wilson, and Bromley Centers. Their work ensures that residents and visitors alike experience clean, welcoming public spaces.

Their hard work recently caught the attention of Mayor Jeff Martin, who not only nominated them for the award but also personally presented them with challenge coins—an honor rooted in military tradition that symbolizes respect and recognition for exceptional service.

Mayor Martin praised their impact on Hamilton Township:

“It’s people like Anthony and Johnathon, who come into work every single day and leave people entering our town with that positive first impression… I’m proud to nominate them.”

The recognition was made even more special with their father, John Brooks Sr., in attendance, along with several Hamilton Township employees who came to show their support.

Their story reflects the strength of Arc Mercer’s commercial cleaning program, which Executive Director Steve Cook highlighted during the luncheon:

“The Arc Mercer cleans over 2.7 million square feet of office space a day, with over 75% special needs workforce... and they are scoring higher than the industry average [quality assurance scores].”

The Brooks brothers embody that success, showing how dedication and pride in one’s work can create an immediate and lasting impact on the community.
