Rising Star Spotlight: Anthony M.

We’re proud to recognize Anthony M., from OTC–Yardville, as The Arc Mercer’s latest Rising Star of the Month!

Anthony was nominated by Rosemary Reed, Employment Specialist, who shared just how meaningful this recognition is for him:

“His number one goal has been to earn the Rising Star award. He has been working on behavioral and vocational areas in order to reach this goal. Recently, he has been mentoring peers in the food service training program and has been putting an effort into using the coping mechanisms that staff have taught him.”

For Anthony, this award represents more than just a moment of acknowledgment—it’s the result of months of focused effort, personal growth, and a desire to reach new heights. He set his sights on earning this distinction and put in the work to make it happen. Whether it’s mastering job skills, supporting peers, or practicing positive coping strategies, Anthony has proven himself to be a leader in the making.

His consistent progress has not gone unnoticed. As part of this recognition, Anthony received a signed and framed certificate, a congratulations balloon, and a $100 gift card. And there's even more exciting news—Anthony is now officially eligible to be named The Arc Mercer’s Rising Star of the Year during our fall celebration!

That annual honor is awarded to one exceptional consumer who has demonstrated ongoing growth, leadership, and dedication throughout the year—and Anthony is now proudly in the running.
