Rising Star of the Month: Johnny Jean

The Arc Mercer is proud to recognize Johnny Jean of the OTC program as this month’s Rising Star of the Month. Nominated by Employment Specialist Robert Mattson, Johnny continues to stand out for his dedication to personal growth, strong work ethic, and positive impact on those around him.

Johnny has shown remarkable commitment to improving both his vocational abilities and interpersonal skills. Through his participation in the program’s janitorial training, he has developed practical skills that he confidently applies in his daily activities. His independence and capability continue to grow as he builds on what he has learned.

Just as important as his skills is Johnny’s consistent determination. He shows up to program every day ready to work, learn, and contribute. His reliability and focus demonstrate his commitment to achieving success in the community.

Johnny is also known for his thoughtfulness toward others. He regularly anticipates the needs of the people around him and is always willing to lend a helping hand. This awareness and willingness to support others make him a valued member of the OTC community.

Recognizing Johnny’s Achievement

As this month’s Rising Star, Johnny received several special recognitions for his accomplishment. He was presented with a signed and framed certificate from the Office of the Executive Director, a congratulations balloon, and a $100 gift card to celebrate his hard work and dedication.

Johnny will also be one of twelve Rising Star of the Month recipients this year, making him eligible to be honored as the Rising Star of the Year at the Arc Mercer’s annual Fall Gala.

Staff are encouraged to help continue this important tradition by submitting nominations for next month’s Rising Star. This recognition program is built entirely on staff nominations, and without those submissions, there would be no way to spotlight and celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the consumers served by the Arc Mercer.
