The Arc Mercer closed out the year with a heartwarming December Team Atmosphere Committee (TAC) Awards Luncheon, celebrating the exceptional contributions and personal growth of two outstanding individuals. The luncheon, marked by emotional speeches and enthusiastic support, truly reflected the family-oriented culture that defines our agency.
Honoring the Rising Star of the Month: Amber Mazzola
Amber Mazzola, a participant in our Dual Diagnosis Program, was recognized as the Rising Star of the Month. Nominated by Hannah Lugat of the Healthcare Center, Amber was praised for her remarkable maturity and personal growth.
Amber has embraced self-awareness and resilience, learning to seek help when needed rather than resorting to challenging behaviors. Her ability to advocate for herself by asking for someone to talk to sets a positive example for others and highlights her extraordinary progress.
Amber’s mother joined the event virtually to celebrate her daughter’s achievement, sharing her pride and joy with all in attendance. Amber received a signed and framed certificate, a congratulatory balloon, and a $100 gift card as tokens of appreciation for her incredible growth.
Celebrating the Employee of the Month: Shanequa Tarver
Shanequa Tarver, a dedicated member of the Campus Day Program, was named Employee of the Month. Her nominator, Andrew Pillar from the Healthcare Center, commended Shanequa for her hard work, friendly demeanor, and willingness to step in and help whenever needed.
Shanequa’s positive impact is deeply felt by both the consumers and her colleagues. Her dedication to creating a supportive and welcoming environment embodies the values of the Arc Mercer. Shanequa's colleagues from the Campus Day Program along with the rest of the audience filled the room with applause and encouragement.
As part of her recognition, Shanequa received a signed and framed certificate, a congratulatory balloon, a $250 gift card, and a custom Employee of the Month lapel pin to commemorate her outstanding contributions.
