Rising Star of the Month: Andrew Macpherson

Andrew Macpherson, a participant in the Senior Day Program, was honored as the March 2025 Rising Star of the Month. Nominated by Hannah Lugat from the Arc Mercer Healthcare Center, Andrew was recognized for his remarkable perseverance during a time of significant change.

Recently, Andrew transitioned to a new residence—a life shift that can be challenging for anyone. Despite initial anxiety, Andrew embraced the opportunity with optimism, viewing it as a chance to grow and gain independence. Dawn Carmosino Team Impact Award: Dority Bernard

This quarter’s prestigious Dawn Carmosino Team Impact Award was awarded to Dority Bernard, BDSP at Avalon, in recognition of her powerful advocacy and commitment to her colleagues.

Nominated by Tarweh Witherspoon, DSP at Greenwood, Dority was celebrated for her bold leadership in championing equitable access to benefits for mission-critical staff. In her own time, Dority reached out personally to her peers to build unity and drive support for enrollment in a top-tier 401(k) plan—an effort that has now secured access for all eligible mission-critical employees.
