David John, DSP at the Campus Day Program and proud member of the Sierra Leone Cultural Group, was honored as the August Employee of the Month. David is celebrated for his calm demeanor, warmth, and the ease with which consumers gravitate toward him.

Whether walking side by side, sharing a conversation, or offering encouragement, David embodies steady, person-centered care. His colleagues echo this impact, Campus Day Program Director Kirk Ponton described David as “absolutely one of the most positive people I have ever met in my entire life… David brings the spirits out of everybody in the program.”

Overjoyed at the recognition, David responded simply and humbly: “I want to say thank you so much, and I will keep on pushing.” His influence extends beyond his daily work, lifting the spirits of staff and consumers alike and modeling the very best of Arc Mercer.

Lucmane Receit | August 2025 Employee of the Month

Commitment and Compassion at Vanderveer

Joining Arc Mercer in March 2024 after emigrating from Haiti, Lucmane Receit has become a shining example of perseverance, reliability, and compassion. In just 16 months, Lucmane has never missed a day of work, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic and an unwavering dedication to the residents of Vanderveer.

Nominated for his patience and responsible nature, Lucmane was commended for “embodying the values and mission of Arc Mercer: dedication, respect, and genuine concern for the well-being of those we serve.” His determination to overcome language barriers—translating medical terms and training materials into Haitian Creole so he can better serve residents—illustrates his deep commitment.

Colleagues note that Lucmane is always willing to step in, take on new assignments, and support his team. His story reflects resilience and a genuine passion for care, making him a role model for staff across the agency.

As Director of the Health Care Center, Andrea Resko exemplifies exceptional leadership, always leading with honesty, kindness, and steady guidance. Recently honored with the Dawn Carmosino Team Impact Award, Andrea was recognized not only for her professional excellence but also for the heartfelt ways she shows up for both staff and consumers.
