Employee of the Month: Wonsehleay Jessey

The Arc Mercer is proud to recognize Wonsehleay Jessey, BDSP and Team Atmosphere Committee (TAC) Ambassador at the Village Group Home, as this month’s Employee of the Month. Nominated by Paul Lagana, Associate Executive Director of Residential, Wonsehleay is being honored for his dedication to the consumers he supports and the pride he brings to his role each day.

Wonsehleay consistently demonstrates what it means to be a mission-critical member of the Arc Mercer team. He takes great pride in his work with the consumers at Village, ensuring that their needs are met while helping them build meaningful, fulfilling lives in the community.

That pride is reflected not only in his responsibilities but also in the strong relationships he builds with those he supports. His approach goes beyond completing daily tasks, he creates genuine connections that help consumers feel supported, respected, and valued.

Over the course of more than four years with the Arc Mercer, Wonsehleay has continued to grow professionally while remaining deeply committed to the agency’s mission. His dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for the individuals served by the agency have made a lasting impact on both consumers and colleagues alike.

Recognizing Wonsehleay’s Achievement

As this month’s Employee of the Month, Wonsehleay received several special recognitions for his accomplishment. He was presented with a signed and framed certificate from the Office of the Executive Director, a $250 gift card, and an Employee of the Month lapel pin in recognition of his outstanding work and commitment to the agency’s mission.

Wonsehleay will also be one of twelve Employee of the Month honorees this year, making him eligible to be recognized as the Employee of the Year at the Arc Mercer’s annual Fall Gala.
