Arc Mercer’s Wage Increases and Bonus Checks for Direct Support Professionals

At Arc Mercer, we know that our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the backbone of the care and services we provide. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work make it possible for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful lives in our community.
This year, with help from Arc Mercer’s advocacy, New Jersey has approved a statewide increase in DSP wages. While the State mandated a $0.50 per hour increase, Arc Mercer is going above and beyond — adding an additional $0.25 per hour on top of that. This ensures our DSPs not only benefit from the state’s investment but also receive a meaningful boost directly from us. That’s a $0.75 raise starting January 1st, 2026 for eligible employees.
In addition to these raises, Arc Mercer is offering one-time bonus checks up to $1,000 to eligible staff as a way of showing appreciation for their commitment and service since they have to wait until 2026 for their wage increase to take effect.
