Arc Mercer recently celebrated the outstanding achievements of its residential and day program staff at a special awards ceremony held at agency headquarters. The event recognized those who went above and beyond in providing exceptional services to the individuals they support.
Residential Program Excellence
Nineteen residential group homes received the prestigious Platinum Star award for their exceptional performance during the last quarter. These homes demonstrated excellence in three key areas:
Medication Errors: Achieving a remarkable record of only two medication errors across all homes.
Recreation Outings: Organizing and participating in an impressive 995 recreation events, averaging more than 10 outings per home per month.
Therap Compliance: Maintaining high levels of Therap documentation accuracy, with a minimal number of missing entries.
The Platinum Star recipients included: Alice, Avalon, Cedar Lane, Colonial, Compton, Darrah Lane, Ewing Ind., Forest, Great Woods, Hilltop, Horan, Metekunk, Murray, Phaeton, Plum, Vanderveer, Van Deusen, Village, and Yardville.
Day Program Success
For the first time, Arc Mercer's Day Programs were also eligible for the Platinum Star awards. Two programs stood out for their exceptional performance:
Adult Learning Center
Special Needs Day Program
These programs achieved top scores in ALA inspections, community outings, proactive calls, and Therap compliance.
Celebration and Recognition
All Platinum Star winners received $120 gift cards as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Gold Star winners, who also demonstrated outstanding performance, received $90 gift cards.
The awards ceremony was a day of celebration for all Arc Mercer employees. In addition to the star awards, the agency also celebrated a NLRB decision that allows union employees to participate in Arc Mercer's 401k plan.
