Celebrating Our Rising Stars

The Arc Mercer is proud to recognize two outstanding consumers as our latest Rising Star of the Month honorees. This award celebrates individuals who demonstrate personal growth, determination, and a commitment to reaching their goals. Each recipient receives a signed and framed certificate from the Office of the Executive Director along with a $100 gift card, and both will be eligible for consideration as Rising Star of the Year.

May Rising Star: Da'Zion Thompson

Occupational Training Center (OTC)

Da'Zion Thompson has earned recognition for his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help those around him.

Nominated by Robert Mattson, Da'Zion consistently demonstrates enthusiasm during vocational training sessions, actively participates in group activities, and regularly volunteers to assist others whenever he can. His dedication, kindness, and eagerness to learn have made him a valued member of the OTC program.

Robert shared that Da'Zion's continued commitment and hard work position him well for future success in community employment.

June Rising Star: Lauren Lippert

Special Needs Day Program & Horan Group Home

Lauren Lippert is being recognized for the tremendous personal growth she has demonstrated since joining the program.

Nominated by Anthony Rhodes, Lauren has made significant progress in both her behavior and her ability to use healthy coping and self-regulation strategies when faced with challenges. Through determination, perseverance, and a willingness to learn, she continues to build on her successes every day.

Anthony praised Lauren for consistently accepting support, applying the skills she has learned, and showing an ongoing commitment to her personal growth.

Watching her development has been a rewarding experience, and her achievements are a reflection of the hard work she puts into reaching her goals.
