Arc Mercer Celebrates Star Program Success Across Day and Residential Services

The Arc Mercer is proud to celebrate another outstanding quarter of excellence across our Day and Residential Programs! Thanks to the dedication of our staff and the commitment to quality and accountability, both areas achieved Platinum Star Status—the highest level of recognition in the Star Program.


Day Program Shines Bright


This quarter, the Campus Day Program reached near-perfect performance across several key metrics:


  • Therap Entries: Out of 8,313 possible entries, only 3 were missed—an incredible 99.8% completion rate.

  • Proactive Family Calls: Staff made 223 out of 229 scheduled calls, achieving a 97% completion rate.

  • Community Outings: The program maintained a strong 41% participation rate, keeping right in the target range (39–49%).

  • ALA Scores: Both the Campus and Senior Day Programs earned 98 out of 100 points, reflecting excellence in accountability, leadership, and adherence to standards.


Both programs proudly earned Platinum Star Status and received gift cards in recognition of their continued excellence.


Residential Services Raise the Bar


Our Residential Program also had an exceptional quarter, with every single home earning Star Status—and 23 out of 25 achieving Platinum.


Additional highlights include:


  • Perfect Documentation: Three homes—Alice, Colonial, and Hilltop—recorded zero missed Therap entries.

  • Medication Safety: Out of 25 homes, 22 had zero medication errors, with just 7 total med errors across the entire division over three months.

  • Community Engagement: Residential programs reported 414 more participants in recreation events compared to the previous quarter—proof that community inclusion continues to grow!


Celebrating Success in Alice Garden


To celebrate these incredible achievements, staff and program participants gathered in Alice Garden for a recognition event led by Steve Cook. After his inspiring presentation, each home and program received their gift cards and took group photos to commemorate the moment.


These results demonstrate the Arc Mercer’s unwavering commitment to quality care, transparency, and continuous improvement. Congratulations to every team member who contributed to another quarter of Platinum performance!
