Consumer of the quarter Shanta Dixon!

Shanta Dixon was a candidate for the janitorial enclave when the program for transitioning from the workshop, gaining skills through janitorial skills training, and placement in an enclave, first began. She progressed from working in the workshop Masters section to working in a janitorial enclave at the Justice building under close supervision. Shanta was then trained and transitioned into working independently at the Millhill building and has been placed in a slot for janitorial work at that building with minimal supervision. She is a complete success according to the training model for janitorial enclave transitioning and placement. Congratulations Shanta!!

Congratulations, Claire Mahmoud! You are the Consumer of the Quarter!

Claire has been with the Arc since 2007 living in Parkway Group Home. Since then she has developed her independence and moved to Yardville supervised apartments. Claire likes to cook and clean her apartment and takes pride in whatever she does. Since August 2010 with the help of the Yardville Manager, Claire has been attending the Senior Star Day program Monday-Friday consistently. At Senior Star, Claire enjoys helping other Seniors, serving lunches, and doing other chores within the program. She enjoys going to the mall, getting her nails and hair done, shopping, and watching movies.
