Arc Mercer music program help keep clients rock steady (with video)

Hughes to open conference on meeting needs of transportation disadvantaged in Mercer County
TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes will open a Conference Oct. 6, 2011, for local organizations and transportation customers to announce new projects to improve transportation services for Mercer County residents. The Mercer County Coalition for Coordinated Transportation has been meeting for several years to streamline and improve services for seniors, people with disabilities and people with low incomes facing transportation barriers.

Ewing town hall shows off fine art
EWING — Two walls of town hall are awash with paintings and prints executed in all the colors of the rainbow by area artists with disabilities.
Brilliant pinks, yellows, greens, reds and blues shout out for attention and draw smiles from onlookers who pause to admire the oils and acrylics painted on canvas as well as some colorful prints.

Arc program nurtures untapped art talents
EWING — Arthur Coombe is overjoyed. A grin plastered on his face, he sits, tightly clutching the hands of his mother and sister, barely able to hold himself back from showering them both with kisses.
Across the hall hangs a neon green painting inhabited by black, flowy lines. It’s Arthur’s work, and his pride in having it hang in such a place gleams in his eyes.

Arc Mercer Preschool Programs Supported Through $50,000 Grant from Bristol-Myers Squibb
(Ewing, N.J.) – The Arc Mercer announced that it received a $50,000 grant from Bristol-Myers Squibb today, which will allow the organization to continue offering a range of wraparound services to preschool children. This is The Arc Mercer’s third grant from the company in the past four years.
