Arc Thrift
An on-site flea market, Arc Thrift simulates a store atmosphere that allows our consumers to try their hand at retail. We also established a relationship with a local thrift store to give program participants a chance to use their skills in a community-based work environment.
About the Arc Thrift Program
This unique training program is run by the Adult Resource Center, and the curriculum is based on a universal design theme that enables participants to learn a variety of job skills that can be easily transferred to a competitive work environment.
Skills learned include:
- Sorting
- Washing
- Processing
- Pricing
- Display set-up
- Customer service
- Handling monetary transactions
- Telephone etiquette
We offer a wide variety of items at great prices, including:
- Furniture
- Household items
- Antiques
- Toys
- Clothes
- Games
- Books
- Treats from our program, A Touch of Taste
Please Donate!
All items used in this program are donated to The Arc. After being processed, they are offered for sale at our monthly flea market as a way to generate much needed revenue.
